Policy to Enjoy Better Soccer together

Part 1. Most Basic Team Principles (Should Know!!!)

1.1Coach-chief First
& a recreational team of all players

Coach-chief is the only one ruling formation and strategy.
Preferably, coaches (and all) should work together and communicate well to establish, execute and let all understand a formation with an appropriate substitution plan disclosed. Preference of players and group meeting advice should be respected.
Our principle: we'd respect your personal role-development goal, and give you opportunity to try different positions if you want. Demonstrate your ability to fit into the position you want, or listen to the coach. In aditional, in order to be fair play & happy games, and to facilitate all team management (no matter Win or Loss in our rec team), all coaching work should comply with policy 1.3, in our such a recreational team. Please understand and follow coaches always (military commander?!), though sometimes team performance may be little bit compromised.

1.2Discipline&Stimulus:
AlwaysRegister&NoRandomLate Policy (Details in picture)

Must register for each game before a deadline, to avoid shortage of players and terrible telephone struggling. To eliminate random late-coming so as to respect all members in the game, for any level of players, we would prefer no-coming rather than late-coming.

1.3Play Time,
Play Position Balancing,
Stimulus to Active Participants

1. Play Time Balancing: Coaches would try best to guarantee > 40min play time for each player, and reserve all the privilege to let any player play < 60min.
2. Play Position Balancing: Positions characterized by heavy duty and vulnerable for blames, such as goalie/fullbacks/sweeper/stoppers may be rotated in some or all players.
3. Stimulus to Active Participants
: More play time, lower price per game, preferred positions(if possible). Always-register, come-early, play-more-games would be 3 most important factors to be qualified as an active participant.
Reasons/Notes: 1)All payedForPlay&DroveLong; 2) We're recreational team; 3) Interest/love on soccer is the only reason we gather, which should be treasured and stimulated; 4) We treasure Active participance more than soccer skills, and happy games more than win games; 5) Facilitate team management and recruitment; 6) In recreational team/club, we should NOT neglect elder players, Not-so-skilled players; 7) 40mins: We believe it is enough, if u run fast which is requiblue in soccer; drilling more in scrimmage is encouraged and good alternative and complement to exhaust your all. And coaches would urge all to run more before got subbed under a game strategy/formation or teamManagementRequirements.

1.4 Mutual Respect
& Friendship

Play with ease in any games. Absolutely NO fighting allowed on fields, or violators would get discpline actions including fines or even excluded from team!

Part 2. Organization Chart

2.1 Organizer San Antonio Chinese Alliance(SACA) www.sa-chinese.org . ( sports Supervisor / Financial advisor)
co-supported by Greater San Antonio Chinese Chamber of Commerce (GSACCC).
2.2 Manage Panel Manager usually would be selected by the team or appointed by SACA, with 1-year term (unlimited successive years). Then manager would organize a management panel for a single season or longer.
Manager:Duty: Finance, recruiting, policy-proposing, organize/change coaches/captains, coordinating, database, web, kitman, etc.
Coaches: Duty: Game formation/substitutions; drillings.
Captains: Duty: On-field duty mainly; Organize setPlay for cornerKick/freeKick; Help/execute/maintain/change formation by listening to coach, welcome new-to-field, help coaching.
2.3 Group Meeting Step 1: Propose by anybodyStep 2: Open discussion on web or on field
Step 3: Decision may make: Approve, Reject, ToBemodified, Suspend.
2.4Decision-making Process(≥2 decision-makers) While manager is vital in coordinating, at least 2 people should be in ANY decision-making.
Method 1: Group Meeting; this can revoke/judge decision made by method 2;
Method 2: by any 2 in Manager/Captain-chief/Coach-chief.
2.5 Annual Major Group Meeting First Gather after Mei Nan Bei (Memorial Day), to select Manager/Coach-chief.
They then work together to determine coach-vice/captains, which should be approved by group meeting.  Normally 1-year term. Unlimited successive terms.
2.6 Change of panel/manager By group meeting or SACA. Proposed byManager/coach-chief, or anybody at any time except in games.

Part 3. Finance Managing

3.1 General policy

For any payment, players without formal household income including some students(nonUScitizen,noHouseHoldIncome+?? as decided by panel) enjoy at least 30% discount.

3.2 Team-precollect

At initial join: 16$ for players with formal household income; 10$ for others (for jacket, gatarade drink, soccer ball, gloves, etc). Maybe recollected.Normally no refund.

3.3 Expenses/Usage

For convenience, manager or captain-chief is the only person in charge of finance related management.

3.4 Surveillance

All members can review/question/ suggest how to use the money.
Finance report should be disclosed at least once a year.

Part 4. Severe Violations & Dealing Policy

Example1: for fighting on the field during informal games, group meeting will issue 6$ fine for employed.
Example2: for deliberately destroying/occupying team property, group meeting will issue 6$ fine for employed.

Fights or severe violations would be determined by group meeting. (Fine: 2-5$ for not-employed, 3-6$ for employed). Further action may include: Special notification post on web, exclude from group/team list, as determined by group meeting.

Special fines in Tournament or special Game

Example 1: For red card due to fighting in formal games will be issued 100$ (or 50$) fine, group meeting may determine to pay only 100$ * 25% = 25$, who fights should pay 75$ in addition to divided.
Example 2: For red card not due to fighting in formal games will be issued 100$ (or 50$) fine, group meeting may determine to pay most divided by group members, 10$ * 95% = 95$, violator should pay 5$ adding to divided.

Determined by group meeting for different situations. 25% to 95% would be paid by team, left by violators. Further action may include: Special notification post on web, exclude from group/team list, as determined by group meeting.

  3. Robert then modified/selected some of their drillings to be suitable for our adult Interest Group which is known notoriously difficult to be drilled and being so resistant on new things/new skills in nature when we are above 20 years old.
  4. Multiple attempts have been done and already demonstrated: impossible to call a group drilling outside league games.
  5. It is not compulsory, but recommend all to join.
  6. Learn "how to learn / how to drill" from youth team, and from youth coach.

Objective:

  1. (Primary/Main objective) Know how to improve, and know we can still improve a lot if we do it correctly even if age > 40 (after this age people often question: how can I and why should I improve my soccer...).
  2. Actual improvement would be obtained by more games and REPS as up!
  3. Stimulate and guide self-drillings in scrimmages besides league games.
  4. Transform random shooting/dribbling before league into some kinds of actual 'drilling' though mini.
  5. Know what is real soccer, not just scrimmage, scrimage and scrimage...

Welcome to the Great Wall Team/Club, which is endeavoring to be a strongly coordinated/organized happy family, and "Our Home" of amateur players who love soccer and like to enjoy better soccer together.

You're very welcomed to join our Yahoo group, scrimmage games, drillings, miniTournaments, (all these're free) etc.

As for league games, in order to guarantee enough play time for each player, very sorry that we are NOT recruiting players unless you got invitation. Since we are organized by San Antonio Chinese Alliance (SACA), and may join MeiNanbei (>> Chinese Only, Sorry.), we may still open for some Chinese players.

Step2. Remember to drive out 15mins earlier, and NoRandomLate is our working/active strict policy>> to respect all. We usually take the first game which is 9am or 11am (when not hot), (all games go late afternoon when extreme hot, with extra breaks in games) on Sunday (only! no Sat League games), to spare whole afternoon for non-soccer/family.

We may have 15-30min mini-drillings before league games (only time we can drill as a team, please do your own drillings/repeats besides this). So NO drillings (failure to call team always) out of league games as of 2010.5.13.
